Food Find: Benihana Hibachi Chicken Rice
As much as I enjoy trying new and inventive recipes, I don’t always want to cook after a long day of work. And given my laundry list of food allergies, fast food isn’t always a possibility, so I decided to try some frozen options starting with Benihana Hibachi Chicken Rice.
This frozen dish is packaged in a single-serve bowl, costs about $5.99 at your local grocery store, and is prepared in the microwave in less than 3 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product didn’t come with the usual “may contain shellfish or fish or peanuts” manufacturing warning, so I knew it was a must-try. Of course, like any other frozen meal, it doesn’t taste as amazing as the restaurant version, but it’s definitely a mouth-watering at-home option if you’re craving hibachi. The convenience is simply unmatchable.
While I have only tried the Hibachi Chicken Rice, there are a few other menu-inspired options, including Yakisoba Chicken, Yakisoba Steak, and Rocky’s Choice. Rapper 2-Chainz said it best: “Extra garlic butter, I got Benihana issues.” Enjoy!
