Food Find: SAFE + FAIR Popcorn Quinoa Chips
A few months ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Jessica Grelle, SVP of Product Innovation at SAFE + FAIR, about the company’s mission and their products. At that time, they were anxiously awaiting the release of their new Popcorn Quinoa Chips. I must first admit that I am typically not a fan of quinoa-based products, but I have now tried them and they are really good. They have the airy texture of popcorn, with the crunch of a potato chip. They have just enough salt and sweet to make them a satisfying snack.
SAFE + FAIR Popcorn Quinoa Chips are free from peanuts, tree nuts, egg, shellfish, and fish. They are also vegetarian, gluten free, and non-GMO, and currently available in three flavors: Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Sweet & Salty Kettle, and Sweet Sriracha (my personal favorite). You can purchase Popcorn Quinoa Chips for $2.99 a bag, with 3% of the proceeds donated to the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University.
