Sweet Tooth Satisfied

On December 10, my episode of EMERGENCE aired on ABC and my family hosted a small viewing party in my hometown of Chicago. Being the chocoholic that I am, a chocolate cake was one of the first items on my requested menu. Unlike in Los Angeles, I have found a couple of dedicated nut-free bakeries in the Windy City that I absolutely love. For this event, we went to Simply Sweet Creations, located in Oak Lawn, a Chicago suburb. As you might remember, I have written about them before. I’ve enjoyed their chocolate chip and sugar cookies and devoured their cupcakes, but this was my first time ordering a cake. As anticipated, it did not disappoint – the design was spot on, the taste was sweet and delicious, and it was a hit at the party. Even if you aren’t living with nut allergies or hosting someone that is, I encourage you to give this bakery a try.
